Acron: Attack of the Squirrels

Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! is a cross-platform party game that requires a VR headset and at least one mobile device. One player in VR becomes an ancient tree protecting golden acorns, while up to eight friends on phones or tablets play as mischievous squirrels trying to steal them. The game is designed for couch co-op and competitive fun, bringing together players across different devices.

The VR player uses controllers to grab and hurl wood chunks, boulders, and sticky sap to keep the squirrels at bay. Meanwhile, mobile players work together, using unique abilities and tools like planting seeds that grow into pumpkin barriers, hiding behind bushes, and placing mushrooms as leaping pads. Each squirrel character offers distinct skills: Zip is the fastest, Chunk carries a shield, Doug digs tunnels, and Sim builds ramps.

This hilarious experience is best enjoyed with a group of friends in the same room, blending cooperation and competition. The tree must strategize to defend the acorns, while the squirrels coordinate their efforts to outsmart the tree and gather as many golden acorns as possible. The game supports VR headsets such as Meta Quest 2 and up, Pico Neo3, Pico 4, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality, and requires mobile devices with at least 1 GB RAM and Android 6 and up.
