ContraCam - Speed Cameras, HUD

This app serves as a comprehensive GPS radar and road camera detector, alerting drivers to all types of speed cameras, road hazards, fixed radars, traffic police posts, and other dangerous road objects. It provides free camera and map updates without any subscriptions, ensuring you always have the latest information. The app includes a detailed map of speed cameras, road hazards, and points of interest, along with very quick offline 3D maps and a HUD way mode for convenient navigation.

The radar detector features daily updates for cameras and road hazards, moderated by specialists for accuracy. The database updates automatically, so you don't need to manually monitor for new data; the app finds and downloads updates on the fly. It warns about back-shot cameras, average speed check cameras, dummy cameras, and other types not visible to usual radar detectors. You can choose which types of cameras and hazards to be alerted about, and the app captures and controls multiple potentially dangerous objects simultaneously.

Map functions include specially created offline 2D and 3D maps that are high-performance, require no internet, and take up minimal disk space. The maps offer convenient control of objects, day and night modes, and the ability to work with all regions and countries at once. Additional features include road track and bookmarks, data collections and folders, and export options in GPX, KML, and CSV formats. The app also provides a general world map, shows speed limits, and displays points of interest.

The speedometer function warns about road restrictions, displays current road restrictions, and allows user-defined restrictions for city and highway driving. Voice and sound alerts keep you informed, and the app works in the background with other applications, including compatibility with turn-by-turn navigators. Please note that the use of a speed camera warning device may not be legal in all countries and territories, so always follow traffic rules. Also, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
