Donut County

Donut County is a story-based physics puzzle game where you control an ever-expanding hole in the ground. As the hole moves, it swallows everything in its path, growing larger with each object it consumes. The game features a cast of cute characters, each with their own unique home and environment to explore. Your goal is to devour their trash and belongings, but also to solve puzzles by combining objects inside the hole.

The story begins with raccoons who have taken over Donut County using remote-controlled holes to steal trash. You play as BK, a hole-driving raccoon who earns prizes by swallowing his friends and their homes. However, when BK falls into one of his own holes, he finds himself 999 feet underground with his best friend Mira and the angry residents. They demand answers, and you must help them by using the hole to catapult things back out and solve puzzles.

The gameplay is simple yet addictive: move the hole to swallow objects, combine them for crazy effects like cooking soup or breeding bunnies, and catapult items back out to destroy or solve puzzles. The hole keeps growing until the entire county is gone. With charming visuals and a quirky story, Donut County offers a unique and delightful experience.

Created by Ben Esposito, designer of What Remains of Edith Finch and The Unfinished Swan, the game is the result of six years of solo development. It combines clever physics puzzles with a humorous narrative, making it a must-play for fans of indie games.
