kubic

kubic is a unique minimalist puzzle game inspired by the art of M.C. Escher, impossible objects, and geometric designs. Your goal is to construct the target configuration from a set of pieces, bending the limits of space and reality to create structures that seem impossible.

The game features a clean, simple design with over 60 Escher-esque puzzles. When you click on a piece, it pops to the front-most layer and may overlap others. Pieces do not merge when combined; if there are extra pieces, you can hide them behind the others. If you get stuck, you can skip a puzzle and revisit it later. All puzzles are solvable, but some are quite challenging, so take your time.

Levels are divided into five groups: Ocean (Blue) with 2D shapes, Desert (Orange) with 3D shapes that require two-dimensional thinking, Mountain (Purple) with convex/concave optical illusions inspired by Escher's lithograph, Sky (Green) with up/down illusions based on the Penrose Triangle from Escher's "Waterfall", and Escher (Mixed) based on letter designs spelling MC ESCHER. There is also a Print group based on printable magazine versions of Convex-Concave puzzles.

If you truly get stuck, an in-game hint system can help you get started or even solve the entire puzzle. It helps to plan ahead and build figures from back to front. The game supports 12 languages and Google Play Saved Games for progress syncing between devices. Enjoy this mind-bending experience!
