Lines Is Lines is a classic puzzle game where you place balls on a grid to form lines of five or more. The game is also known as Color Lines, Lines98, and Lines95, and its mechanics are considered a precursor to the Match3 genre. The goal is simple: build a line of at least five balls of the same color, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Scoring is based on line length: five balls give 5 points, and each additional ball increases the score by one more point (the sixth ball gives 2 points, the seventh gives 3, and so on).

The game offers multiple difficulty levels to suit all players. Easy mode uses six ball colors, Classic uses seven, Normal uses eight, and Hard uses nine. For the ultimate challenge, Hardcore mode uses nine colors and disables the undo function.
