OsmAnd+ — Maps & GPS Offline

OsmAnd+ is an offline world map application based on OpenStreetMap that allows you to navigate taking into account preferred roads and vehicle dimensions. Plan routes based on inclines and record GPX tracks without an internet connection. The app is open source, does not collect user data, and gives you control over data access.

With OsmAnd+, you get privileges such as Android Auto support, unlimited map downloads, topo data with contour lines and terrain, nautical depths, offline Wikipedia, and offline Wikivoyage travel guides. The map view offers a choice of places to display, search by address, name, coordinates, or category, and various map styles for different activities like touring, nautical, winter and ski, topographic, desert, and off-road. You can also overlay different map sources.

GPS navigation lets you plot routes without internet, customize profiles for cars, motorcycles, bicycles, 4x4, pedestrians, boats, and public transport, and adjust routes by excluding certain roads or surfaces. Route planning and recording features include point-by-point route creation, GPX track recording and management, visual data on descents and ascents, and sharing tracks on OpenStreetMap. You can also create points with different functionalities like favourites, markers, and audio/video notes.

Additional features include a compass, radius ruler, Mapillary interface, night theme, and a large community with documentation and support. Paid features via OsmAnd Pro subscription offer OsmAnd Cloud for backup and restore, cross-platform access, hourly map updates, weather plugin, elevation widget, route line customization, external sensors support, and online elevation profile.
