Paper Bride

Paper Bride is a Chinese horror mystery puzzle game that incorporates traditional folk culture. When the groom turns to his bride during the wedding ceremony, her red wedding dress transforms into an ominous white paper one, and she vanishes without a trace. You play as the groom, searching for the truth and encountering bizarre events, gradually uncovering the dark mystic customs of the bride's home village and a story from the past.

The game draws inspiration from traditional Chinese folklore, featuring creative horror elements such as paper figures blocking the way, underworld spirits marching, eerie temples, and ghost traps. These elements are rarely used in games, and after experiencing nightmares from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, Extensive Records of the Taiping Era, A Wicked Ghost, and other novels and movies, the developers created this game to share the horror with the world.

Paper Bride offers better graphics with more stylized art assets and animations for an immersive experience akin to a horror movie. It also features improved performance with added dialogues to make the main character more relatable, a more reasonable puzzle design without minute objects or tappable areas, and a balanced difficulty curve that increases with each chapter.
