Private Screenshots

Private Screenshots provides a secure, hidden space for capturing and storing screenshots directly on your device. It is designed for use with apps that allow screenshots, such as social media and photo messaging services, where you want to keep moments that would otherwise disappear. The app does not bypass screenshot protection in streaming, banking, or other protected apps, as that is technically impossible.

The app works by capturing the current screen and saving it into a private folder within the app. A floating shutter button allows you to take screenshots with a single tap from any screen. You can start and stop the capture service as needed, and all screenshots are stored locally, never uploaded, and only accessible by you.

Privacy is a core feature: screenshots are hidden from your gallery and other apps. You can further protect them with app lock using your fingerprint or device PIN, and blur previews to keep them hidden from prying eyes. Additional features include attaching notes to screenshots, searching by note or date, and shaking your phone to capture.

For advanced users, the app offers an optional accessibility service for faster screenshot capture, which is used only when you request it and collects no data. You can also export screenshots to your gallery or transfer them to your PC over local Wi-Fi. The app requires permissions for notifications, display over other apps, and optional screen recording, camera, and storage access, all clearly explained and under your control.
