RetroArch

RetroArch is an open-source project built on the powerful Libretro interface, enabling cross-platform applications with rich features like OpenGL and camera support. It serves as a one-stop-shop for entertainment, offering a built-in collection of applications for games, emulators, and multimedia.

The Play Store version differs from the website APK: it lacks a Core Downloader due to Google Play policies and supports a maximum of 50 cores. For more cores, users can get RetroArch Plus (up to 127 cores, requires Android 8.0+) or download the full version from the official website. The Play Store version offers automatic weekly updates for cores and RetroArch.

Key features include eye-candy menus, file scanning to add games to collections, database information, online core downloads, updates, Game & Watch emulation, input remapping, cheats, multi-language support, over 80 cores, NetPlay multiplayer, screenshots, and save states. It is free from DRM, ads, and spying, with no restrictions on usage.
