Return to Monkey Island is a thrilling return to the iconic adventure game series, crafted by creator Ron Gilbert in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. It continues the story of Guybrush Threepwood, years after his battles with the zombie pirate LeChuck. Guybrush is adrift, having never found the Secret of Monkey Island, while his true love Elaine Marley has stepped away from governing. Meanwhile, hip young pirate leaders led by Captain Madison have taken over Melee Island, and the famous businessman Stan is imprisoned for marketing-related crimes.

Players will banter with old friends and new faces on familiar islands now under dangerous new leadership. They will also set sail to explore new and unknown territories, solving clever puzzles and navigating bizarre situations. The game features classic point-and-click gameplay with modern enhancements, including context-sensitive interactions, reactive dialog trees, and an easy-to-use inventory system. This evolution of adventure game controls makes pirating a breeze for both newcomers and veterans.

The adventure spans the sometimes-friendly confines of Melee Island, now under new management, and ventures into uncharted lands like Terror Island and the chilling outposts of Brrr Muda.
