The First Tree

The First Tree is a third-person exploration game that weaves together two parallel stories: a fox searching for her missing family, and a son reconnecting with his estranged father in Alaska. Players guide the fox through a poignant and beautiful journey that culminates at the source of life, and perhaps leads to an understanding of death.

Along the way, players can uncover artifacts and stories from the son's life as he becomes intertwined in the fox's quest towards The First Tree. The game is not a "fox simulator," but an emotional, intimate story crafted by a one-man team, with an ending that will stay with you.

Featuring a gorgeous orchestral soundtrack by acclaimed artists like Message to Bears, Lowercase Noises, and Josh Kramer, the game offers a short story-driven experience of about two hours, with light puzzle solving and platforming, and no enemies.
