This Is the President

This Is the President is a story-driven management game where you play as a newly elected US President with a hidden agenda: to ratify Amendment 28 and grant yourself lifelong immunity. Along the way, you must handle daily crises and presidential duties, but your actions often escalate into absurd and darkly comedic situations.

The game blends political thriller and satire, offering a branching narrative where your choices matter. You can score easy points by price-capping video games or go big by regulating the entire Internet. Expect the unexpected, like rescuing a toppled Russian president, sending a hamster into space, or helping a serial killer escape prison.

Managing your shadow cabinet is key. You'll recruit thugs, hackers, journalists, and lawyers, each with their own talents. When staff members dislike your decisions, remind them who covers up their dirty secrets. There's no moral dilemma that can't be solved with a juicy bonus from your charity fund.

Your ultimate goal is to change the Constitution. Americans may believe in separation of powers, but no one can resist your methods. Persuade, blackmail, bribe, and bully the political system into granting you lifelong immunity. Rule by any means necessary, command the Oval Office, deploy specialists on dangerous missions, and earn global fear and respect. With an interactive narrative, will you end your term on your terms, or are you just a pawn in a bigger game?
