Rebels and Redcoats

Rebels and Redcoats recreates the battlefields of the American Revolutionary War, from the first clashes in 1775 to the peace of 1783. Players command troops on both sides of the conflict, reliving the campaigns that shaped the birth of the United States.

The game includes five campaigns covering the tutorial, resistance, revolution, evolution, and nemesis, with most missions playable as either the American rebels or the British. A wide range of historical units is represented, from line infantry and grenadiers to light dragoons, hussars, and artillery, each with distinct qualities and formations.

Tactical depth comes from mechanics such as troop quality classes, general leadership, morale disruption, and detailed combat analysis. Infantry can adopt line, column, open order, square, or unformed formations, and joint artillery-infantry formations allow for resilient combined units. Light woods block line of sight without providing defensive bonuses, adding another layer to battlefield decisions.
